Join Christie Smith, Director of Business Development with Sallie Mae, along with the Arkansas Division of Higher Education (ADHE) for this informative session.  We will cover the basics of college financial aid such as federal financial aid, state awards, scholarships and other options to consider in how to pay for college. We will also include tips on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which opens October 1, 2020.

Virtual College Fair of Arkansas

Register for the Virtual College Fair taking place October 1 -31. This is your chance to learn more about selecting a college, obtaining financial aid, and exploring college booths to get information.  Live presentations are scheduled from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday – Thursday and from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Saturdays.  College representatives will be standing by to chat with students during these times.  More than 60 college booths have videos and important resources and are available anytime to registered students.  Registering for the virtual fair takes less than 2 minutes and a video tutorial is available.

To submit the application, you may:

  1. Print and
  2. Deliver to the office.

  1. Rename the Google Doc by removing "Copy of" and Replacing with your name and

The Hagan Scholarship

 

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, designed to provide each recipient with the opportunity to Graduate College Debt-Free. Recipients of a Hagan Scholarship will graduate from an Eligible Public High School located in a county having fewer than 50,000 residents or from a remote rural public high school located in a larger county. There is NO Application Fee. To inform your students about the Hagan Scholarship please provide a link from your school’s website to Haganscholarships.org.   

 

Hagan Scholarship recipients are high achieving, self-motivated students who will require substantial financial assistance to attend college. The Hagan Scholarship provides up to $48,000 over four years; nine hundred twenty-seven Hagan Scholars from 43 states are currently enrolled at 358 colleges and universities. Over 2,000 Hagan Scholarships have been awarded to date, 500 more scholarships will be awarded in April 2021.
